There are many products available specifically for removing limescale.

Let's try this in DIY where you should have some decent responses regarding filters.

welcome to Thailand ! I have calcium problems not only in the bathroom, but all over in my appliances, washing machine . . .

in HOMEPRO and other big supermarkets, you could find HG limescale remover and protection - imported products from a Dutch brand.

do it as quick and often, the calaium stains ETCHED into the chrome surface, even the limescale remover won't able to remove the damage. I learnt it too late :-(

Isn't the basic problem that the water is too "hard [high level of dissolved minerals]"?

I think you need to "soften" the water via the use of an ion-exchange resin filter system. All the main home supply stores sell such systems.

Muratic acid for the build-up. Dilute it 3-5 parts water to one part acid.

I agree with Farangbuddha. For the on-going hardness, a water softener set-up is needed. If you want to take to to a further level, then you can add a R.O. system after the softener. If you are going to install one or both, you may want to consider a monthly service contract. Otherwise you will have to learn the maintenance routines and carry the softener salt home from the store. Don't install either system if you are not going to maintain them.

This product looks interesting and it apparently cost only less than 9 thousands plus installation.

I think that you need to try it on your car's fuel line. It will give you better gas mileage. :whistling:

Sorry, couldn't resist .. almost as "interesting" as how the device works.
