I'm on a Retirement Visa and am bringing in my goods by ocean freight ... the freight forwarding company just informed me that my visa type does not permit duty free entry of my personnal goods. Immigration and the airport immigration told me otherwise. Any wisdom? Who is a good frieght company that can help me clear customer?

Immigration has nothing to do with Customs. You do not seem to have customs duty free entry on a retirement visa anymore from the current wording on Customs web site.
