Lizard2010 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Happy Easter Do they celebrate In Thailand like back home :jap:
villagefarang Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Can’t see any reason why they would. It is not the most commercial of holidays, so what other reason could they have for celebrating it? As superstitious as some Thais are, I doubt we need to be getting them all excited about some dead guy getting up and walking about. Edited April 22, 2011 by villagefarang
H2oDunc Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Easter is a Christian celebration. Thailand is mainly Buddhist. The few Christians that are here will no doubt celebrate it but it is not the commercial time of year like back home where they just want to sell you expensive chocolate eggs. I haven't seen an easter egg yet Thankfully
cmjantje Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) I ate an egg today. . So did my wife who is Buddhist..... but we ate a salad. Edited April 22, 2011 by cmjantje
