ManOnTheRoad Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Ill be leaving the country for holidays with the whole family this coming week . I was told that the long term parking does not have any shelter and that we need to take a bus to the terminal with our luggage. Will be out of the country for 5 days should i park my car at the normal parking with shelter. for 250 baht Per 24 hour ?
cardholder Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 This is probably a decision you can make for yourself. Is it worth saving 100 Baht per day to leave your car outside, and away from the terminal building ?
ManOnTheRoad Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 Yup ur right. Well will go for the 250thb per 24 hour carpark ,
junkofdavid2 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Note that it's 250 per day and "fraction" of a day (if after a full 24-hour period). So if your car is there for 25 hours, you'll be charged for 2 full days. I made this mistake before and it hurt a (little) bit. I was expecting to pay 1 day 250 + 2 hours 50 baht = Total of 300. But it came out 500 instead. She wasn't cheating me, it came out in the computer-printed receipt.

I paid the normal rate for the odd hours over 5 days. But that was over 1 year ago. Looks like a change for the worse.
chrigus Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Does anyone know / have actually tried a hotel around Swampy which offers Park, Sleep & Fly? As the airport parking doesn't have any longterm rates, it's getting quite expensive parking there for two weeks or longer... Longterm-parking lot seems quite inconvenient and is not an option. Cheers Christian

Hours past the first 24 hours cost 25 baht (up to 10 hours and then you pay the full 24 hours), and that is posted clearly on a sign on the pay booth right next to the attendant's window.
saengsureeya Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I usually use the "long term" car park if I leave the country for 7+ days. It's not covered, but the regular parking fee is THB 140 per day and there's a free shuttle buss service.
DisainaM Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 can someone tell me, what will be the charge for 1 month, at the long term parking, I don`t know about the monthly fee and is there a maximum stay ?
Briggsy Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Motorbike parking is also 250 Baht a day for anyone that is interested.
DisainaM Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 if you really want to use long term parking, you should first get a kind of membership-sticker for your cars windscreen. Without one, you will be charged with 140 Baht per day, even if you are parking for 5 month, - no discount. Only with the membership sticker, that you will get for a yearly fee, you get the price, what you see on the right side of the photo.
thaidiver Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Motorbike parking is also 250 Baht a day for anyone that is interested. What a rip-off for motorbikes......
mikechudej Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a cab there and back?
saengsureeya Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a cab there and back? Sure, you just have calculate a bit: Pattaya - Swampie return by car is approx. THB 500 fuel Parking THB 140 per day (long term parking) Metered taxi PTT-Swampie THB 850 one way or THB 1700 2-way. So, 9 days is break even. Private limo PTT-Swampie THB 1300 one way or THB 2600 2-way. So, 15 days is break even. Bell Travel PTT-Swampie THB 200 one way or THB 400 2-way. So, ............. just the fuel consumption is more expensive.

When you are living in the dark side of the dark side, you know, that you can`t get another taxi at 6.00 pm.
