I have a small portable oxygen tank for medical use.

Any one knows where I can refill it here in CR?

The shops only sell them but have no clue where to refill them

Might be worth contacting a hospital close to you to source the agents for medical grade oxygen. Perhaps Kanadar's wife may know.

I dunno. Only know about the industrial oxygen place and never noticed if they do medical. There are several places in town who sell the medical equipment to patients and they should know where to re-fill it. I would think they would just swap out empties for filled ones.

I just checked with two shops. This thread reminded me that I had been needing to get something for mother for a while now. I went to take care of that and asked the question about oxygen. Both shops I went to sold the equipment but said it has to be refilled where Harry mentioned. One shop owner said there is another place in town that swaps out bottles but you have to rent the bottles and apparently, that shop charges more than is necessary for the rental. The shop owner who told me this really didn't even want to tell me about that rental place and wouldn't have, if one of the girls in the shop hadn't piped up. Not sure of the directions but it sounds like it is out MFU way. Not a good deal, I would say.

make sure you refill with Medical Oxygen (Green Tank) not the Blue Tank Industrial Oxygen which is not purified and cleaned for medical standards.

Many times a company that specializes in gases, will also carry and refill Medical Oxygen.

You can also get it done thru most medical appliance shops, but will pay a highrer fee. but if you can not find a direct supplier, then better than nothing for the moment.

Yes , any bottled gas company will supply . If you go to any major gas supplier such as the gasoline Station in Den Ha, they will be able to get a bottle changed for you . I am sure they have some bottles in stock but not sure if they have the small bottles that you require. Good luck
