Due to a big increase in students and being let down at the last minute, AMEC Bi-Lingual school ,Chiang Rai is looking for a qualified native speaking Teacher to start next week.

If you know of anyone ask them to p.m me.

Thanks

Why would we assume that a qualified, native speaking teacher will be working illegally? Who is we?

Well it would be a pretty quick work permit if the successful applicant was a farang, but aside from the fact it is posted here, the wording is a little vague as to which of the bilinguals the successful applicant would need to be a native speaker of......

Yes, that was the conclusion I was reaching also, though maybe not in a sufficiently clear and concise manner either.

Kandahar, is it worth advertising for Thai staff on Thai Visa classifieds do you think? Or additional to CRfocus, is there another place you would recommend?

I would guess CR Focus is best when seeking a native but he may well have posted it on CR Focus already . I assumed that the post here was in the hopes that any of us may know of a good local for the position. My SIL is a teacher but she has been at the same school for so long, she isn't going anywhere new. Don't know of any out-of-work Thai teachers at the moment.

I wouldn't know where else to advertise. All the locals here that I know only mention CR Focus for reaching the masses and the wife does very well with it. However, I would be very surprised if there weren't Thai language teacher's forums available. That would be the place to go if there were such forums. dindong is an old hand. I would guess he has covered all the bases already in his quest to help out the administration and this TV post was just a long-shot.

I presumed he meant native English speaker and just forgot, or didn't see the need, to include the word English.

Thank you Skybluestu for explaning this. The position has now been filled by a native English speaker.
