Just went again to swim and make sure. It seems there is a clear centepede like creature who likes to take a swim in the moo bann swimming pool!! He is quite long in body and has two longer legs at the back - any ideas if friend or foe?? rolleyes.gif

My friend says its like plankton what whales eat?? Two and a quarter inches long, clear and just a couple of dots inside the body.. Does that help?? Not swimming boo hoo!!

Very painful bites and stings, some Thais claim they can kill you, I doubt them but wouldn't want to test it out.

From what I've read it's possible but pretty rare. Seems likely you could go into shock from the pain and then drown though. Assuming it really is a centipede of course.

I've hated them ever since a very small one bit me once...

Was able today to report whatever is lurking so hoping for a swim today alone....

Guess I will have to swim in the street as the Monsoon Hits?? Any homeless whales out there??

Well there ARE some critters that live naturally in pools... And they won't hurt you if you don't hurt them.

They are called hellgramites.
