Do you know if it is possible to use an HTC Desire (850 mhz) on 900 Mhz by flashing the Rom ?

So incredible and stupid that this phone cannot work on AIS 12call network! Who decides such retarded thing ?

the Thai Rom/Radio combo is different from that which you buy in Singapore and would be tri-band

No, it is not.

I assume you have the newer, second generation HTC Desire S, which is 850 Mhz 3G capable?

The older, first generation HTC Desire was 900 Mhz 3G capable.

You could change to TrueMove H or DTAC, to take advantage of 850 Mhz 3G, or change phones to one which supports 900 Mhz 3G if you have to stay with AIS.

This post http://www.thaivisa....ost__p__4612553 says the S2 will run on any of the 3G services? Is this not the case?

Some say that the SGS2 can operate on any/all 3G networks even though DTAC and True sell an i9100T mode and AIS sells an i9100 model.

i can confirm that the GS2 i9100 works on both AIS and TRUE

and the i19100T will work on the AIS Network

both bought fuly unlocked for about 17,300 from a small retailer (not from true or ais directy if that matters )

we have both of them and have tried swapping sim cards with no issues

the weird thing is ,the AIS one "seems " to get better battery life and ive flashed various custom roms of both of them

and cant figure out why :)
