Bangkok Lightning Shots

Featured Replies

There have been some pretty intense storms over bangkok lately and i love capturing lightning, so here are two shots from saturday night/sunday morning.

one was taken from a window one from the balcony.

The black and white was taken from behind glass, hence the focus issues.

Nice shots, particularly like the first pic. Thunderstorms in Bangkok make me miss living in a high rise especially now that I'm getting into photography

Here is one taken from my condo at Millennium Residence.

This shot was semi taken by my GF. She really wanted to know how to capture lightning on photo, so I helped her with setup and camera settings! :) We were in a hurry to booked table at a restaurant, so we only had time for one shot. Gonna take more shots when the next thuderstorm hits BKK!

Nice picture, nice view from your condo as well, how high up are you?

Thanks. Im at 38 floor. :)

The view is gorgeous. I can see the sunrise from my kitchen, guest room, and mini bathroom, and I can see the sunset from my livingroom, balcony, big bathroom and master bedroom.

Looking forward to take lots of lightning shot this rain season.

Are there specific settings you use? Would be great if you could include that info with the shots, cheers!

Great shot Ricku and a fantastic view! Almost a HDR-feeling in the photot. Thanks for the settings!

And great shots from zappalot.

Thanks for sharing!

Here the Airport was hit by this flash (distance by air 8,5 km, shot from the 4.th floor...)

And here the flash was just above me, so it came from all directions. Due to the 50mm lens and the crop-factor it was difficult to catch it...
