UK authorities have announced that soon all applications for new Passports will have to be made to The Identity and Passport Service in the UK.

They have produced a video to explain the changes.

They haven't set a date for that yet though - for now, the nearest place would be Hong Kong for a new passport and I wouldn't have thought that will change anytime soon?

Either way, it doesn't say you need to go there in person as they talk about using a courier service to get your new passport back to you.

I would assume you can do everything by post (apply and receive new passport)....!?

Mine's good 'til 2020, so I'll worry about it then!
