Asian Tour Pro Rd 2

Santiburi Golf club Koh Samui rd 2 update.

Asian Tour Pro Matthew Rosenfeld made a great comeback today moving up from 111th to 43rd to make the halfway cut which looked almost impossible after yesterdays first round.

The course to day was as tough as ever for the Asian Tour Pro as the wind did not subside as expected in the morning.Starting at 07.40 things got off to a steady start with no major problems making pars and playing realy steadily.

Asian Tour pros birdie

Asiantourpro3-150x150.png

The first birdie came at the 5th hole with an outrageous downhill 40 foot put that sank into the middle of the hole.

There were further opportunities but the putts just failed to drop, before the next birdie came at the par 4 12th

.Again more chances came and went on the homeward run,but with the state of the conditions and not a bogey on the card and the only player in the field to do that today,i would say a job well done.Finishing with a 2 under par 69.

I am not sure if i will be on the bag in the morning as i was quite sick last night and during the round today.

We have a local caddie on standby in case i am still feeling ill.

Matt shot a 75, but not a word from potters....are you ok?

Just got back to Bangkok.

Unfortunately i had to miss the last 2 rounds as i was not

feeling well at all and to be fair to Matt it would not have been a wise

decision me going on the bag and the legging it off the course to the toilet or bushes.

He said that he played well on saturday just a little unlucky.

Sunday was looking real good after 9 holes at 2 under but a triple bogey on

the par 3 which Matt said looked perfect from

the tee but hung up in the wind and dropped

short into the gully.

Still a 1 over par final round was not too bad and he has things he can take away and work on.

The new Callaway Razer driver worked well after the first day so it looks

like it will be staying.

So the Asian Tour Pros have a months break now before they play again,

Matts back home to Dallas to play a few local events and practice.

I will now wait till the Kings cup in December but may head down to Hua Hin for the LPGA event

and see if i can pick up a bag for the week there.

Keep you guys posted.

Regards
