Can anyone advice, I am going to be leaving Thailand soon and want to sell my car, I will advertise it privately but if all else fails my GF tells me that Honda will buy it back from me? It is a 2009 civic model registered in my nam and fully paid for.

Can anyone clarify this to be true or not?

I would imagine that any car dealer would buy your car from you.. That's what they do . Buy and sell cars

A "tent" will be happy to buy your car if the price is right. You will lose money but not extreme amounts, an authorised dealer will also give you a bad deal

I think the main point is; Not worse here than anywhere else in the world when you have to sell quickly, perhaps better even as there are so many 2nd hand car dealers
