Portable Projectors For Laptops

I travel with my netbook and always get headaches from the small screen and I'm now seeing these 'portable and ultra portable' projectors on the market and price ranging from $100-$1,000 but before I would consider buying one, I would like to hear feedback from anyone who has actually used one or seen it in action.

Bottom line.....can it substitute as a 20" monitor in a hotel room with lites dim and projected on a white wall?? Would I be able to read text easily??

and any recomended brands??

It would be a lot easier than lugging a 20" monitor, as the ultra portables fit in the pocket.

In the work situation I regularly use video projectors,

though not exactly portable.

Generally they are lower resolution than the native mode of my computer,

so letters show up larger, and the students do not have a problem following

what I am typing.
