Hi Everybody

I need help "please"

Windows have blocked my account as they have discovered that someone has been using it to send "SPAM"

I have been through their procedure for unblocking..........but I have a problem of accessing the verification which they say that they have "sent" to me.......because they have stopped me sending or receiving mail :ermm:

I have sent my "G mail" e-mail address to them as an alternative....but no response.....and have given them my mobile number for texting the code....but a pop up says Thailand not accepted

Any ideas how or who I can take my lap top to to get this sorted

Many Thanks (experts)

Maybe a nice mod will move this thread to the IT forum.

Do you Windows or Microsoft/MSN/Hotmail etc?

If your account has been sending spam it suggests that you have lost control of the account by the IS/Password combination being taken via a trojan or key logger in a net cafe or due to an infection on your own computer - that sound is the rusty lock on the door after a bolted horse!

> I have been through their procedure for unblocking....

When you set up the Hotmail/MSN account etc. did you give them the alternate email address and mobile number? Bit late to do it now as you really could be anyone - what proof can you give that you "own" the account? Suggest that you detail recent email exchanges - or pictures in the account maybe.

If the problem is with an on-line email service - no one.

You need to be talking with the on-line support department.

Get your PC sorted out for virus and male-ware protection, get it patched with recent updates. Microsoft Security Essentials OR Avast are good and both are free. MalewareBytes is also free and easy to use.

Just as well you have a back up of all your contacts in gmail or a nice book. :whistling:
