(Decent) Free Wifi?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

anyone know of anywhere near Mae Chan that has decent speed free wifi?

Out here in Natoe we get our internet via TOT satellite and the fastest download speeds I can get are about 26kbps. This is bearable for email and a bit of web browsing, but if I need to download anthing large I sometimes go to Chiang Rai and use the free wifi up the top of CR Mall which is quite a good speed and you don't even need to buy anything.

But since it takes me almost 90 minutes to get to Mae Chan, I'd prefer to find some place around there rather than have to ride the extra 30 minutes to CR.

I don't mind if it's in a cafe or something and I need to buy some food/drink to use it.

If they had a Black Rock Cafe in Mae Chan it would be perfect :)

Thanks,

Rich

Thanks David.

Not sure what an Apmur office is... if a traffic office is where you pay your registration etc, then I think the closest is the one near the airport??

Cheers,

Rich

Amphur is the town hall (I guess would be the equivalent), where everyone goes to get their ID cards, marriage/birth certificates etc. :)
