mnodi Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 A few weeks ago a gentleman posted pics of himself kayaking down the river ping. Looked great and with some people visiting I thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately the web links for the contact Lanna Kayaking didn't work - leaving us with well, no contact details. Does anyone have any ideas. Could the River Ping Kayaker himself point us in the right direction? Any help would be grateful
Fishenough Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Track of the Tiger Chiang Mai is set up to do so, yet don't advertise on there website but if you asked....... Also the Kayak dealership across from the train station has been rumored to arrange tours/trips.
kalbo123 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Behind Wat Faham at the Ping river you can rent canoes..don't know the prices or what they offer.. you could just go there and see what they offer.

msg362 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 If you want a really good trip, go with Cave Lodge, based in Tam Lod, Soppong. 1,2 and 3 day trips. ( website is www.cavelodge.com I think.) 053 617203 cheers
Fishenough Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Also a fan of Cave lodge, chilled there for a wonderful time the other weekend, and river conditions are at there best for an exciting time right now. The Ping river trip, south of Mae Ngat to Mae Taeng weir (Google Map link of route), is a great way to spend a half day close to town taking 2 to 4 very relaxing hours on the water. Though due to current conditions the water will be very muddy; but other times of the year this stretch runs very clear and makes for fantastic swimming. Tonnes of fun for kids.
tomahawk Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 The kayaks for rent at Wat Faham are 100 baht. They will also teach you how to use them if don't know how. Opens at 4pm, last time I went there anyway. Also if you have a kayak your self they will let you keep it there for a small fee.
Topdoc Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Is this the place to reserve kayaks? http://www.chiangmaikayak.com 1
LivinLOS Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 If you google theres also a paddleboard tour / rental company.. 1
