Thai Driving Licence

I have posted in the pinned topic 1+ 5 year Thai driving licence but with no reply, maybe I can get a reply under a new topic.

A Frenchman with full french driving licence and an indate IDP and a yellow tambien book on a marriage extension.

Can he obtain a Thai driving licence as can the Brits and Americans by just taking a perception, reaction and colour blindness test?

or

Does he have to take the Thai driving test same as the Thais?

If you IDP has pictures of the vehicles it allows you to operate, car and/or motocy, it will be accepted and you do not need to test drive

having a yeallow tabien baan you do not need certificate of residence

so ad a medical from any clinique at 100 baht, and go get Thai DL
