By Boat From Bohput To Koh Phanghan?

Featured Replies

We have a hotel booked on Koh Phanghan on the southern end of the island. ( seekatang beach)

I was hoping someone could give me advice on how to get there.

I thought there was a boat going from either Bohput or big buddha to that side of the island.

Is this correct? also if you know can you give me a website where I can find out the timetables etc.

it ould be much appreciated!

Thanks very much, Isabel

Ferry or speed boat,

I'd take the later, always some ready to go from Bohput and other,

no schedule restraints , only ~ 20 min ride, not that expensive.

If your on a budget, then the ferry.

FYI Phangan Transport :o

Thanks very much for that!

The link you gave was very helpfull :o

I believe the Lomprayah leaves from Mae Nam and goes to Thong Sala, the boat to Hadrin leaves from Big Buddha. The Seatrans express is now running a boat to Thong Sala, Koh Phangan and Tao out of Mae Nam as well. There are speed boats that leave from Bo Phut and Mae Nam headed to Koh Tao but they also stop at Thong Sala

You want the Big Buddha boat that goes to Hadrin, it leaves every day at 10:30am, 1 pm, 4 pm and 6:30 pm. From Hadrin there are now song-taews that can take you to the beach you want. Note, it is also called Leela beach.

Lomprayah leaves from the temple in Maenam.

It's new to me that Seatran has boats departing from Meanam.

You forget the other catamaran, Butsamanee or something like that. that leaves from the same pier as the Haadrin Queen on Big Budda beach. Currently that catamaran is in the docks though since a few days.

Just started. They used to run out of Nathon (Surat-Nathon-Phangan) but are now running from there to Koh Tao, more profitable I guess.

And didn't I say already the Lomprayah ran out of Mae Nam?

Anyway, if the OP wants to go to Leela Beach then the best way is the Hadrin boat out of Big Buddha, it stops in Hadrin whereas the others all go to Thong Sala.

Yes, you did say that Lomprayah is running out of Maenam but not that it's at the temple south of Maenam, which is kind of an unusual location and not easy to find if you're not familiar with the location.
