Tourists Start Travelling To Mae Hong Son Province

Featured Replies

TOURISTS ARE STARTING TO ENTER MAE HONG SON, AT THE START OF THE COLD SEASON

Tourists have started to travel to Mae Hong Son Province, with most of them are paying keen attention to natural tourism sites.

Natural tourism sites in Mae Hong Son are receiving greater interests from Thai and foreign tourists, especially the roadside forests, in which many tourists park their cars to step down and take pictures. The tourism coordination center in this northern province has forecasted that from November onwards, tourists will increasingly visit Mae Hong Son, especially during the long holidays. This would result in the shortage of rooms, in which the province had about 2,800. Still, there would be other rooms in national parks that would be able to provide additional accommodations.

The tourism scene in 2005 is leaning towards improvement, as a number of tourists choose not to go down south.

South - ONLY South

Think I'll go and scream a bit now.

BTW and as an aside: The Mango Tree is now dead and in the process of being bar-ied.

Every time I walk by the Mango Tree it's full of happy locals and tourists.

A couple recomended it to me just last night. :o

Sorry, we just sold out and the new owners are intending to open a bar there.

I will miss the great food at the Mango Tree, but if the bar is really sleazy, I won't get too indignant! :o
