Early this year Air Asia stated that they would through Air Asia Phillipines start a new hub at Clark, Phillipines.

One of the new routes would be to Bangkok.

Tickets would be on sale from August 2011, and the first flights would start in December 2011.

No tickets on sale yet, anyone heard any news about this?

the SEAIR (aka TIGER AIRWAYS) Promo Fares are still available until Wednesday, 31st of August. about 1.500 THB one way.

the ridiculously high fares of CEBU Pacific will soon have to come to an end, otherwise they soon won't have any passengers on that route anymore. AirAsia Philippines will be another competitor in the near future.

I paid B3200 R/T BKK to Clark on Cebu...not what I would call ridiculously expensive.

Air Asia have been flying out of Clark for several years , the big problem is that it is nowhere near Manila and transport to the city is poor, of course it is very close to Angeles

Couldnt you have just flown direct to Cebu on Cebu Pacific?!

Oh, you wanted to go to Angeles City - the lovely place that it is.

I went there for the waters......*
