The Administrative Organization in TAMBON PATHUM (ตำบลปทุม) of UBON RATCHATHANI (อุบลราชธานี) Province will organize the 2005 LOY KRATHONG (ลอยกระทง) Festival. The event will celebrate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.

Mr. JUMLONG JARA-NGUP (จำลอง จาระงับ), the Chairperson of the Administrative Organization in TAMBON PATHUM, also disclosed that the festivity will also help conserve Thai traditional values and contribute more revenues to the provincial communities. The 2005 LOY KRATHONG Festival will be held at UBON RATCHATHANI’s MUANG District between November 15th and 16th.

Many activities will be organized during the event such as painting, singing and essay composition contests. Furthermore, various OTOP items will be on sale as well.
