Creative City: Chiang Mai's Creative Potentials

In collaboration with Chiang Mai Creative City Committee and Chiang Mai University, TCDC will hold the seminar “Creative City: Chiang Mai’s Creative Potentials” on September 1, 2011 at the Kantary Hills Hotel, 12 Nimmanhemin Road, Chiang Mai. Presenting the city in new perspectives, the seminar will reveal the true potential of the people of Chiang Mai through their creative city development.

Join us to explore Chiang Mai’s industry in terms of its economy and creativity in Nimmanhemin Road, Wat Umong, Pong Noi and the area around the city’s moat by Dr. Peeradorn Kaewlai, Chairperson of the City Research Unit and lecturer in Architectural Studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University.

Learn about the development of Chiang Mai as a creative city from government agency, policy makers, academics and representatives from business sectors under the theme “Creative City: Chiang Mai’s Creative Potentials”. After the seminar, there will be two workshops that focus on the strategies of product development which meets the needs of modern consumers.

This seminar aims to raise awareness and understanding of Creative City and Creative Entrepreneur which are key components of the government’s Creative Economy policy.

9.30 -10.30 a.m. Presentation of the creative city development study project by Dr. Peeradorn Kaewlai, Chairperson of the City Research Unit and lecturer in Architectural Studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University
