Thai Radio In C.Rai

Featured Replies

I have a tourist venue in start up phase here. Been thinking about doing an advertising spot on one of the local stations. I know they don't have any radio in English language, but I assume there are about a dozen Thai language stations here. Am cruising for suggestions on which stations offer what formats. I've heard pop stuff and Thai country styles, and I guess the rest is talking. Because of the venue (rock climbing park) I'm aiming mainly for the 15 to 35 year old Thai crowd. I've asked about colleges, and was told that Rajabat has a tiny radio presence, but haven't heard if there's a broadcast from MFL U.

The other aspect is voices. There's a 50 second dialog I've written, which can get translated to Thai - suited for two young men voices, as a conversation. If I ask Thais about getting two Thai boys for the voices, I get blank stares or (same if you ask for an artist), they want to direct me to professional studios in Bangkok. Sometimes, the simplest things can get complicated/compounded in Thailand. Any suggestions appreciated, plus you can message me direct at my T.Visa account.

I think Weah Radio is a good choice; they mix Thai with International pop music; dance, house, all trends that your target likes.

My youngsters (19 and 20 years old) listen to this station all the time

The station is located in Mae Chan - Ban Nongwaen and can be picked up in most of the province (one of the strongest local channels here: channel 94.0)

Thanks for the tip! I just got on their site and they're playing some good stuff. B)I'm jazzed. Next chore: finding a way to contact them and hope someone there speaks some English, as my Thai is still rusty.
