September 27, 201114 yr A friend went to get his 12 month retirement visa renewal yesterday and was charged 3900 baht. The last time I went (3 months ago) it was still only 1900 baht. Surely they wouldn't have doubled the price?
September 27, 201114 yr The cost of any extension of stay is 1,900 baht. But I suspect your friend did not have a non immigrant visa entry to qualify for retirement extension of stay so had to pay 2,000 baht for conversion to non immigrant entry first.
September 27, 201114 yr I'm sorry, but if your 12 month extention of stay was done 3 months ago, why is being done again now? theoldgit

September 27, 201114 yr As Lopburi stated 3,900 baht sounds like a conversion to a non-immigrant visa and an extension of stay at the same time. A good indicator of if there is something not right is always if you get a receipt (for the full amount) or not.
