What happens when Ferang dies in Thailand, whats the procedure etc ? who needs to be notified etc ? what needs to be done ?

Do not forget that as a foreigner the embassy needs to be informed. They technically take charge of the body and possessions and will notify the Next of kin. If you are married they will almost certainly release the body to the wife. They may make fairly hefty charges for their kind and in many cases unneeded assistance. A will will definitely help this if it appoints your partner as Next of Kin and names her as executor.
