Hi,

I am currently on a Tourist Visa which expires this week.

I have already extended for 30days and i read here you can only get another extension for 10 days.

The problem is I need more time here because I have applied for a few International courses at a couple of universities in Bangkok and I want to stay here and wait to see if I have been accepted or not.

Is there any way I can change status of my visa or is there a special bridging visa here like they have in australia which allows you to wait in the country for the outcome of a application lodged for residency or skilled migration.

I was going to go to Laos to get another 30days on arrival, but that fell through.

I heard from a friend, immigration will let you stay 2 weeks after your visa is due and not charge you anything.

Thanks

Go to Immigration and state your case for an extension. If you are accepted by a uni you will have to leave Thailand   and apply for a Non-Immigrant visa.   There is no bridging   visa available in this country.       :o
