March 17, 200322 yr Hi, I am currently on a Tourist Visa which expires this week. I have already extended for 30days and i read here you can only get another extension for 10 days. The problem is I need more time here because I have applied for a few International courses at a couple of universities in Bangkok and I want to stay here and wait to see if I have been accepted or not. Is there any way I can change status of my visa or is there a special bridging visa here like they have in australia which allows you to wait in the country for the outcome of a application lodged for residency or skilled migration. I was going to go to Laos to get another 30days on arrival, but that fell through. I heard from a friend, immigration will let you stay 2 weeks after your visa is due and not charge you anything. Thanks
March 17, 200322 yr Go to Immigration and state your case for an extension. If you are accepted by a uni you will have to leave Thailand and apply for a Non-Immigrant visa. There is no bridging visa available in this country.
