Looking For An Optometrist With Reasonable English Skills

Featured Replies

Hi all,I need to get my eyes tested for glasses and contact lenses.I have been buying my contacts at Top Chareon in Mae Chan, but I think they are just a retailer and don't have an optometrist who can test your eyesight. Can anybody recommend and optometrist with reasonable English skills so that if I need to explain what I can and can't see, or discomfort etc. there won't be any miscommunication?I also have astigmatism which means I use toric lenses for my left eye. So I want to make sure I can communicate that requirement also.thanks,Rich

Thanks svenivan.

I did look at that thread before, but it didn't mention anything about eye testing or someone with good English.

But I see you have updated it. So thank you.

Mods can delete this redundant thread now if you wish.

Top Charoen, same street as Da Vinci and Aya's has an English speaking one and it was the first one in 6 years who got my glasses right. Too bad TC is so GD expensive.

Why not try City Optical on Thanalai Road. If you travel north from Old airport road, it will be on left hand side at corner of Thanalai and Trirat Road.

Yeah, I had a look at one over in the Top mall and they quoted 5000B for two pairs. (Had to take the two, no price on one).

I'll pick up the new glasses this week and give a report.
