This afternoon at McKean's Hospital we said farewell to Ivan.

He was a good mate, and served his Queen and Country as a Royal Marine Commando.

All credit to the Britsh Legion and VFR for being so supportive.

The service was simple and brief.

I met Ivan 10 years ago in Saraphi and we both taught English together at Chiang Mai Inter Technical College for a while.

He loved nothing more than riding his bike and would often ride some 80 kilometres each day. Once even cycled up to Laos.

Rest well my old friend.

R.I.P. Sir.

Feel sorry for your loss Gladiator.

If he is a Royal Marine Commando than I would not worry to much.

He his looking for his old friends right now and they will regroup.

I was able to meet him for 4 hours while hospitalized and was impressed by his good humor, peace, and sharp mind. Hope to meet others like him in the future.
