Ok so when you get your check in boarding pass online and go to Suvarnabhumi you do not need to check in and go direct to Gate.

But that is not good enough for Singpapore Changi Airport (Not Low Cost Terminal) for some reason Airasia goes from low cost and Changi airports.

Now you have to get a stamp on the boarding pass which you have from internet. Also Queues are any which way so people can jump lines. Staff are rude, and it seems they have an opjective to damage Airasia image. Why I don't know maybe some body can give opinions. Also If you go to immigration the staff just send you back to Airasia check in. What is happening to Singapore Changi Airport? I have more but this will be enough to start. Oh and even if you have a boarding pass some people are being asked for their Ref: Booking numbers? Why? <deleted> are they doing Singapore. Suvarnabhumi is better by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Ok had my bi#%h thanks feel better now :)

At Swampy I've always been required to go to the 'Document Verification' counter at Air asia check in to get the internet boarding pass stamped before proceeding to Immigration.

Has this changed now?

Last time I travelled Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur I had my boarding pass 7 days before and went direct to Gate 1A.

Because I only had carry on.

Seems they have new policy again which is unusual when Airasia sends you an email saying they

will start charging for check in@ counters. Seems nobody has been to Singapore lately via Airasia.

Why do we bother with check in online, lets all just go to the airport and block up the queues

If thats the way they want it.

I find air asia staff fantastic every where. I travel many places with them. European airlines could learn a lot from them.

As for Singapore. The airport is good but the service bad. It is quite possible Singapore staff try to trash Airasia because the airline takes business away from Singapore Airlines

I will not include letter I wrote but only to say it gave Tony Fernandes a good list of issues at Changi.

As Always go straight to the top to get action.

Unbelievably his email is online and replied to in less than 12 hrs. Good on you Tony.

Lindsay, pls accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused. While I'm not sure on the underlying reason for this, Kenneth would investigate and revert with findings. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience.

I will not be complaining so much about Suvaranabhumi that's for sure.

Swampy is better than at least one other :)

Yes gamini same here. Airasia does good most places BUT Singapore it seems.

Reply just received:

Dear Lindsay,

Please accept my apologies for the staff behavior. I will get to the root of this and take the staffs to task for their inaction. I or my Customer Care Dept. will get back to you on this matter.

As for the extra document check in Changi, this is a requirement by the airport authority. Airlines have to comply to this using self check-in. Please rest assured that we are working hard to resolve this matter as we speak.

Regards,

Kenneth

Likewise, I have always needed to get my documents verified when travelling on an Air Asia international flight, this makes perfect sense as they are liable for a fine if you arrive at your destination with incomplete documentation.

There is no need for for this check on domestic flights, I can only assume that Lindsay either slipped through the net, or was just lucky on her KL flight.

Also the Document Verification check is just that, you're not checking in again, so the new fee probably wouldn't apply.
