Ems Within Thailand

Featured Replies

Has anyone else experienced slow mail delivery within Thailand ? EMS was sent to me a week ago and it seems to be stuck in Bangkok, according to the online tracking:

Call 1545 the Thai Post call centre.

There is an English option on the menu and the staff speak good English.

I know that one of the main sorting centres has been flooded out (Laksi} but have been told that the post is operating as normal.

Twenty four hours to go from Ta Phraya to Bangkok, given all the flooding in between, is really pretty good I would have thought!

But it's now the 14th and the OP still hasn't received it which is probably why he is concerned.

We've received none of our regular national bills (3BB, TrueVisions, TOT, etc.) this month and we usually get them the first week of the month. I suspect that any mail that has to be sorted and cleared through Bangkok (or originates in Bangkok) will be delayed until the flood waters recede.

I sent an EMS package from Klong Lan near Khampaeng Phet to Ayuttha on Friday lunchtime and the package was delivered on Monday after lunch.

:whistling: Second that.
