Visa Run Chiang Mai To Vientianne

Are there any company's in Chiang Mai which offers all inclusive visa run trips to Laos, Vientianne.

I know how to take the bus or flight (Nok Air) to Udon Thani and then connecting with the bus to Nong Khai and taxi or tuktuk to the Embassy in Vientianne.

This time I like to have a service which include direct transport to Vientianne and back, with or without hotel for one night.

No one know about any company's running visa services to Vientianne (starting from Chiang Mai).

Is there anyone who has to go for a visa run by the end of November 2011.

Keep in mind that there are some Thai holiday's coming up in December 2011 (Dec 5 & Dec 10)

Dekdek Tours has just what you need.

do you have any contacts of it? Googling didn't help much. I am interested in CNX - Vientiane tour too for visa and would appreciate any information. Thnx

I also tried to google your suggestion, but could not find anything.

Does anybody have more suggestions ?

Are there anybody who has to go for a visa run in the week from Nov 28-Dec 02, and would be interesting to travel together.

Keep in mind the Thai Embassy in Laos will be closed for sure on Dec 5 and probably again on Dec 9 (replacement for Dec 10) for national holidays.

The best days to arrive and apply for a visa are Tuesday or Wednesday, Mondays & Thursdays are very busy and if you come on Friday you have to wait in Vientianne for the weekend.

or tintin-beste knul. No there are not. People simply assume that grown up westerners-even able to buy a guidebook-are adult enough to do that on their own. In principle it is not any different as from BKK-anbd they also do not offer from there. This TV forum-visas has enormous detailed reports about the VTE-experience. If all that scared too much-fly and book the Hilton. There are direct overnight bsues-normal Thai VIP from Arcade to Udorn-transit for a direct VTE-bus, or a torist bus to NonghKai-VTE, thus mainly stinky travellers, but direct- NAGA travel-bookable via any normal tourist tr-agent-anywhere in town-just look for signs or ask

How long are you in Thaild? Still not grown up to the fact that 95% of Thai bisnis is not on this www? IF it is-it will be overpriced and give bad service. If in ChMai;open eyes and look around-you'll pass dozens of tr-agnets on every block.

I did an overnight VIP bus to Udon, then bussed it to the border (hoping for good timing, then changed to respectable clothes in broder bathroom), then across the border, then tukkie to the embassy just in time to file paperwork and was definitley in the better-dressed category compared to others. I got full smiles assistance with ease, and was able to return the next day to pick it up. While I was there filing there were definitely 2 separate parties who were recieving less help in the process due to dress and behavior, so ond't forget to put on the utmost of charm when you finally make it there !

Back outside the embassy after handing in paperwork, met a group of people who had just picked theirs up and were headed back via AYA. They said AYA was cheap, fast, easy, comfortable, and that their driver had some sort of hookup to help them get all the way to the embassy easily - not guessing n asking around about which bus when, like I had to do. I think next time I'm going to go with AYA too.

Yes, almost all of them! (any tour shop down by moat area). Best price I have found in 1600 baht. Goes direct to embassy, breakfast and return next day. Does not include hotel. Does entail a 10 hour ride in cramped mini van however overnight.

Did this one last week, I paid 1,700 baht from a local agent near KSK. Most agents will hook up with Aya. It is a good deal, overnight in a mini van is a little on the rough side but, as jacktrip said, when you get to their office in Nong Khai, they give you breakfast and coffee, help you fill out your Lao visa application and generally make sure you've got it all together, then off to the border, no line up at Thai or Lao side, the experienced driver will help if there is a problem. A songthaew driver from the Lao side connects and takes you to the embassy (consul services) by 8:00 am, no additional charge. I stay down by the river (you do pay for your own hotel) so I hooked up with 3 others at the embassy and shared an air-conditioned cab for 120 baht. Aya cannot pick up on the Lao side anymore so, we cut a deal with the driver to pick us up the next day where he dropped us off (my hotel). For 480 baht for four people, he would pick us up, take us to the embassy, wait until we got our passports and take us to the border. My local transport costs = 150 baht air-con all the way, worked out smooth as glass. Go through Lao exit and buy a ticket (20 meters in on the left) for the bus that will take you across the bridge - 40 baht. Once through Thai immigration you call Aya and they will pick you up and take you to their office to wait until 7:00 pm when you start the return trip. You can actually walk from immigration to Aya. BTW - they pick you up at your front door and drop you off at your front door.
