This month, Chiang Mai Expats Club is hosting a bowling night instead of their regular monthly meeting at the Shangri La Hotel.

Date: Saturday, November 26

Time: 7 pm, until 9:00 - 9:30 pm

Place: Lanna Bowling Center, just inside the moat on the north side of the old city

Cost: 180 baht, includes 3 games, socks and prizes

I hope the venue has sorted out its bowling lanes. I've played there half a dozen times over the past couple of years and not once managed to go 10 frames without something going wrong with the machine that racks up the pins. In fact, the last couple of times we had to catch an attendant's eye nearly every frame because of something going wrong with it. Not what you'd hope for.
