dick90 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I brought a Bose system from the U.K ( 5 SMALL SPEAKERS WIRED) about 10 Years ago.It was perfect until I moved recently. Now nothing at all happens when I plug it in. Does anyone know if there is a fuse somewhere. Can you get a Bose system Checked out. Many Thanks

FRM-BKK Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 If I was in your position, I would contact Bose customer services in the US and ask them where to get the unit serviced. I had an identical problem with my system back in the UK when I was still living there. I contacted Bose UK, who told me to send it to them. I sent the unit with an explanatory letter, stating that I would like to know the costs before they proceeded with any repairs. I received the unit back within 5 days, fully serviced and some faulty items replaced; all free of charge ! The unit was at that time 7 years old. This is, in my opinion very much the American service !! On my last visit to the UK 7 weeks ago, I bought a decent Maglite tourch but did not test it. When back in Bangkok, I put the first set of batteries in and the unit would not work, whatever I tried. So, I contacted Maglite US via their web-site. Within 48 hours I had a reply from the US with the details of a small company in Rangsit who deals with warranty issues and repairs. When I then contacted them, they told me that they had already received my details from Maglite US and that they will fix the unit once the floods are over, as they are out of action at the moment. I know I am completely of topic by now, but I would contact Bose USA. There is a rather large Bose shop in Siam Paragon in Bangkok. They may take the unit in for repairs. It is worth a try ! Bose US might refer you to Siam Paragon and may also give you an idea about costs involved - if any ! Hope this helps you... Frm-Bkk
