Foreign Engineers Visa

Featured Replies

We will have five foreign passport commissioning engineers that will be on sight here in Thailand for about five months. What is the best Thai visa solution that is not so painless?

They will need to get a (multiple) Non-B visa and apply for work permits through the company where they will be working. The work permits can be a problem, as they must work for a company based in Thailand.

Thank you Mario, this is a big help.

Take care

As Mario said they will need a Non-B and work permit. If your company is a Thai registered company and these engineers are coming in to setup equipment that you have purchased and their services are part of your purchase agreement, I think that they can get visas and work permits under your company's umbrella since theire services are part of you purchase agreement. Your best bet is to contact a legal service and get their advice and/or help.

If the Thai entity they will be working for is unable or unwilling to do it, you would need to approach one of the Thai employment agencies who can arrange the WP's for you, for a fee of course...
