Gosh I have just read what i wrote yesterday about "la vieja sirena" and is

O.k Glauka is the main character of the book mentioned above...

The book refers to the deep experiences, feelings, thoughs...of glauka...as a woman and as human being...is nothing to do with romantic love...is more like the assimilation and understanding of those sentimets and thoughs that arise through different experiences...

In my opinion this book is very a very personal book...I mean... eveyone will get a different conclusion, or impresion or will learn something different, because I think is has lots to do with your own personal experiences, how you feel at the precise moment of reading it...

Anyway enough boring talking...

So people do you like the name "La flamenca banda sin nombre" (The flamenca band with no name or without a name)...

Anyway we should start thinking about the costumes and there are many of you that haven´t got any stage name...

Very true TOM not all the flamenco songs are for dancing...have you ever listen a "fandango al aire" is a fandango song without a compás... I can´t recall any artists or song title at the moment but I will let you know ...

Am I part of the band? Uh, dunno... I was just enjoying being part of the thread... a sort of stubbornly tangential part... I have a guitar. But I don't really play it anymore. I could probably pick out Romanza del'amor (have I got that right?) but no, I don't really know any about flamenco except that I like it, preferably in some cobbled midnight square when things are just getting going...

When I was a young boy I loved the flamenco stuff I would occasionally see on the TV (black and white TV) and made the connection with the TV show Zorro...I'll assume you know about Zorro.....anyway I liked to fantasize dancing the male part but I only had tennis shoes to use and they wouldn't make that great sound and my Mom would give me hel_l if I tried it with my Sunday School shoes cause they had to last for my younger brother to use when he grew into them so I couldn't really get it to work right. Also, I really liked the castanets...but only the women got to use them...at least that I ever saw so I was kind of dissapointed with that.....I guess I could be part of the act...IF...I get to dress like Zorro AND use the castanets. (I might be able to learn to do air Flamenco guitar too but I'm not sure.)
