Galaxy Tab V Ipad Touch

Featured Replies

Got the option of one of those Tab things (T1000 7") 2nd hand from a family member for 8,000B. I like the idea of an iPod Touch (no phone, but it's for a kid)

the phone feature is not necessary; more for photos, games, videos etc

Your comments and opinions please..

Would definitely not get an older Android device. It's going to be obsolete very quickly. Especially those with Android versions prior to Honeycomb - they're basically hacked together affairs. Only with Honeycomb (Android 3.0 I think) did Google start to officially support tablets.

An iTouch on the other hand will be useful for a few years. Why not get the kid an iPad? All kids seem to have them these days so it might be inevitable to get the kid one eventually anyway.

Well, here is another opinion:

You can get a brand new 5" Android based Samsung Galaxy Player here in Thailand for just over 8,000 baht.

As for Android being "hacked together affairs"; just look at the market trends. Yes Apple came to market first but Android surpassed them long ago in market share. Yes, it's an evolving platform, Android already evolved far beyond IOS and they are still going.
