Requirements For A 100% Thai Limited Company To Employ A Foreigner

Hi there

My wife is about to register a 100% Thai owned limited company. The company will have three shareholders all Thai nationals.

The company will then rent a premise that will be converted into an English tutor centre. I am aware of the requirement to have an operating license from the Local Education department.

The company will register 2 million capital and will employ four Thai employees. The company will also be applying for a work permit to employ myself an an English tutor. I have all the relevant qualifications.

My question is that when the company applys for my work permit and has to produce the registrations documents will the company also have to show a balance in the bank of the 2 million baht capital.

I will look forward to your response.

Kindest regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew

No, you do not need to show 2 million Baht in the bank in order to obtain a work permit. If you would like some help in obtaining the work permit, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
