What Is Happening?

This week my telephone was cut off because I did not pay a bill I did not receive. Same with my neighbors.

Yesterday I got my electricity bill, we did not have the money so decided to pay by bank. Today the man came back and asked again for money. The company wanted to have the money before tomorow! Normally you have seven days to pay.

What in Gods name is happening in Thailand?

The utility bills are late this month and not just in Chiang Mai. I am still waiting for my true Internet and True visions bills. The water bill came about a week later than usual this time. My friends are in the same position and we also worry about being cut off. I am in Pattaya by the way.

I've found TOT internet gives you a month, I've paid them two at a time when the first hasn't turned up.

I never worry about the electric or water, we have a village bill collector who comes around with those bills as well as the village stuff.

I suppose if they are late he chases them up.

Not sure how he makes his money, we only pay the exact amount on the accounts.
