Yearly Extension Falling On A Bad Time

Featured Replies

I (now! :D ) have the yearly non-em B extensions based on investment in the Kingdom.

Due to a lawyer f...-up first application failed and I had to leave/come back with a 3 month non-em B visa.

This new arrival meant that my yearly extension (and future extensions) now have last day 14th Aug 2006. Rule is that I then normally can apply for extension 14th of July (30 days before) or so.

That would typically be when I have my 2-3 months homeleave/travel in Europe. Does anybody have experience with emmigrations flexibility :o if one applies say 2 months prior extension expire (14th June)? Or just 1 1/2 month before (1st July)?

With the 40 day "under consideration" period I should expect every time my other alternative might be to come back to Thailand and apply only say the 10th of August - but that would put my travelling in June/July.

My final alternative is to start the process over from scratch again - not something I want to do right now. :D

Cheers!

Congrats Firefan,

If you plead your case, you usually are allowed to apply early. Just depends on the officer believing you. Bring your plane ticket at that time.

You have had the extension for what? Two hours? And already thinking up problems for a year from now? Take it easy for a day or two. :o

He,he - valid point Lop! Still would nice to know though. Sunbelt recommends to try with ticket in hand - will remember that idea.

Cheers!

I don't think pushup-bra and alligator tears will get Firefan anywhere. =)
