Which Visa Should I Apply For ?

Featured Replies

I am a foreign national, has been working here for some time and holding a valid permit. Due to my mothers age I would like to bring here to stay with me. Would anyone please explain me what is the procedure and how should I proceed ?

I already searched the board and didn't find any suitable answer. Pardon me for my ignorance if this type of question has been answered before.

Thanking you

Ensim

I don't know the answer if she can not receive a normal O-A retirement visa or an investment visa but perhaps someone would have more information if you provide your nationality and if you currently are on one year extension of stay or not. The immigration office you use would be the best place to ask as they will have all your files available and know your situation and suggest a path.

Lop........from reading his previous posts he's from OZ in his early 30's so that would put his mother over 50.

Providing she meets the requirements i can't see why a Non Imm O based upon retirement wouldn't be the way to go.

OP.........does your mother meet the biggest basic requirement that of having either a pension of 62.5k.baht/month or 800k from a foreign source she could deposit here to fund her stay each year (or combination thereof is acceptable)?
