Hey everyone. I've been looking at getting a hold of a Nissan Cube here in BKK. I've seen some pictures of them on the net and actually look very simple and plain inside for the price, about 6-700,000 baht second hand (imported car).

I want to use it to move around and carry my bicycle to different parts of Thailand where I ride (max about 3 hrs from BKK).

Does anyone have one? What do you think of it?

Cheers!

wife spoke to him,he said very easy to drive and park, lots of room, nippy,he gets about av.50kilom.to the gallon,he said its the import duty that makes them expensive.didnt ask if he was selling it,he always seems to have nice cars, but most from bkk.i myself wouldnt buy a second hand model.we are looking for something a bit roomy in the back as we have a fairly large dog,kia has a fair range, the cee'd sw seems ok and the carens,if they are available in los.

Try to find out the year of manufacture, believe most of the grey imports 6-700,000 baht one are 2003-4 models.....

Another option is the Toyota bB,grey imports these appear to start around 550,000 baht, again for a manufacture date of 2003-4 models.....

Both will be advertised in Thailand as a 2010, a real 2010 Toyota bB import is more like 1.2- 1.4 million.

.Same sort of thing, brand new in Kia showrooms is the Kia Soul, brand new from the showroom 1.3 million

Believe the Carens stopped in 2010, the cee'd not sure if it has or will be sold here

Another good estate is the Proton Exora.. base model 650,000 brand new, to top model 800,000, friend has the top model, now done 90,000 km trouble free, he says it is every bit as good as the Toyota Wish he had before.......... Last model in Thailand was the 2010 Wish @ 1.3 million

Yeah I really think it's perhaps too much money for that much of a car.

If you buy a new or near new one you are looking at Fortuner, CRV, Pajero, MU7 territory for brand new already, so obviously you will get much more of a car in one of those.

I think let's forget the idea and think about something more common sense :)

Thanks all for the helpful input.

Lol nothing wrong with you at all.

It's a car that you either love or hate. I think they are so ugly, that I actually like it. Lucky I don't have the same sort of taste in women.

Toyota Avanza starts around 500k for the 2007 onwards 1.5, plenty of room in the back for a dog, or bike bits, did test drive the early one 1.3 in 2004, was bad but believe the 1.5 rides better.

I think Cube looks supercool, love the azymetric design, boring interior though

it sold(or not) for about 6 months in uk then they pulled the plug, but there is a couple in pattaya all sported up with arches and all the bits and look really cool and quirky
