Second Hand Books

Featured Replies

There are many. For starters, have a look around the Sukumvit soi 33, soi 26 area, as off-hand I know 4 second hand book shops there.

SD Bookshop on Soi Rambuttri in Banglamphu have a good selection of many different languages. :)

thanks the one at soi33 is excellent with a big selection, also 30bht for books returned and swapped

grabbed a half dozen today 150- 200bht is the avg

Chatuchak have a 2nd hand book area. But mostly Thai books.

There is a good one in the soi next to the temple near Kow San rd. They will buy your books and also when you return any books they will give you 50% back if condition is ok. Regularly buy 8 or 9 every month or so.

Generally a bit over priced in Khao Sarn. Plus they tend to stock quite a few pirated copies that look like new (cost like new too) but fall apart on first reading at the spine.

You are better off going to Dasa.

looks very good

Im there tomorrow

Have never had any problems with the shop I use , it's not a book stall and not over priced , Never bought a copied book either. They will also source a book if requested.

I used to use them too, but did so with not much to compare with. Now, having been to Dasa, i see how a professional operation works, with cheaper prices and with an online database so you can see exactly what is in stock without having to go there. And if you can't get there, they have a very reasonable and efficient postal service. All i'm saying is give it a go and see what you think. And no, i don't work there!
