Lifer Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I have not used or been into Bangkok city for a few years and before the skytrqa8in etc. was finished. Has anybody recently taken the Express train after ariving at 810 into town and taken MRT to the closest stop near JUSMAG. If you have, would you mind giving me the fastest most direct route for that time in the morning. How long does it take for the entire journey? Hours of operation at JUSMAG only 8 - 11 am. Thanks for any advice.
Scott Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You don't say when you are coming. I am assuming that the airport you will be using is Suvarnabhumi. The Airport link is fairly fast, but don't know how often it leaves. You can take it to either the MRT or the BTS. I occasionally take the Airport link from the first station past the airport (Lat Krabang) and to get to. It takes about 35-40 minutes. The big time factors are the time waiting for the airport link and the change to either MRT or BTS. You will probably need to take a taxi from the station to Jusmag. Hopefully there will be other posters who use the public transport system more regularly and can give you more specifics.

Doc50 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 JUSMAG open all day. Good video of the Petchaburi MRT to Airport link walk here. You would of course be walking the opposite way.

Lakegeneve Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 You don't state where you originating your journey but note that the Express only operates between the Airport station & Makkasan and Phayathai stations, though alternating, and at a 40 min headway if you go to Makkasan. So the Cityline is more suitable. You'll be able to plan your journey a little better by perusing the Airport Link CityLine timetable available online, http://airportraillink.railway.co.th/en/index.html# 12min headway in the morn peak. Expect 5-8 mins walk between ARL Makkasan CAT and MRT Petchaburi station. You should be able to go the whole journey including interchange and walking in under 45mins. BTS map shows all the MRT, ARL & BTS lines in case you are unsure how they relate, http://www.bts.co.th/customer/en/02-route-current.aspx
