New Beer Garden

Featured Replies

New beer garden and market now opened next to Bearing sky train station. Draught and bottled beers, 80 -120 for a large bottle, some spirits also seem to be available by the glass, food stalls. Apparently live band nightly, Thai and western music.

so be extra careful if you drive or walk in this areadrunk.gif

Yes - WHY??

FYI: If you ever venture out to the sticks (Rama 2)....there's a beer garden called Holland Beer....Brew Master is a gent from Germany....Great beer (and it really says hello to you)...prices are good...warning...once the entertainment begins, it can be a bit on the loud side.

OP??? do you know the name of this new place?

thx

pretty expensive beer..... how much for a "short time".. ?

Was out in the Bearing area the other night and, courtesy of this thread, made a point of stopping by the new Bearing Beer Garden, which is an outdoors area just behind a small retail stalls area at the steps of the Bearing BTS station.

Wasn't overly impressed on a Monday night, but YMMV. The place was about as empty from 8 pm to 10 pm on a weeknight as I've ever seen an outdoors beer garden in BKK be. The available food selections were pretty limited, mostly to seafood and som tam. And there were far more mosquitoes than hotties, at least during my visit.

Maybe the place is different on the weekends. I may give it another try down the road somewhere. But the whole set-up there seems very new. They were still busy installing and building some of the retail stalls adjoining the beer garden. And the "garden" itself isn't much more than some simple wood tables and hard/small wood stools for seating on a flat concrete slab adjoining a very large parking lot.

The one good thing was the Thai band, which started at 9 pm and sounded pretty good, including some pretty authentic musical renditions of some Santana songs. In fact, the band started its set with a Santana song, and then went to The Eagles for its second song.

Here's some photos, as requested above:

Yea, have passed by there a couple of times on way to hua hin; always wondered about it. How is it compared to Tawang Dang? Do they make any ale as TW only makes a weiss ale (german style), would love to get fresh Belgian style ale.
