I guess you did not read post #26 where he reports her getting the tourist visa?

Most Thai who apply for a visa receive the visa. And they need not be rich or famous. But they do have to show good reasons to not overstay and ability to afford the trip. That is the problem with many of the GF type applications - they just don't have a good reason to return to Thailand or the means to logicality pay for the trip.
