Luckily those folks seem to be bloody amateurs. I doubt it was c4 ( which was allegedly found) - but even one of those xl fireworks tubes can rip of an arm or a leg

I'm gunna get legless tonight too..

In the states we use the saying" break a leg" before someone goes on stage, or is about to do something great .....in terressim I am sure they must use the term blow up a leg...in the case I guess that was plural

Posted

It's not usually the terrorist leaders and masterminds who carry out the attacks or decide to blow themselves up...

Needless to say, they more often recruit

They often purposely recruit bombers that are mentally deficient..

Amazing to read all the uninformed speculation here.

The story that is pretty well coming now is:

... I won't paste the rest of the great post, but it's worth looking for...

Excellent summary.

I'd also add that Monday's bombing of an Israeli Embassy van in New Delhi sounds like a properly executed version of an attack that could be connected to these guys.

From the article: The motorcycle rider attached a magnetic device to the Israeli embassy car while it was waiting at a red light and a few seconds later the explosion took place, injuring four people including the wife of Israel's Defence Attaché.

Source: http://ibnlive.in.co...c/230115-3.html

The difference between a "grenade" and a "magnetic bomb" can be pretty blurry to laymen (myself included). I can't help but wonder if these are just part of a string of similar attacks that are planned for the near future...

Things are never what they seem. Those that know will never tell and those that tell never knew.

Not quite.

While things are not always as they seem, sometime they just are.

To believe that we are always being told the truth would be just plain naive. To believe that we are always being lied to would be just plain paranoid.

Israel Blames Iran-Backed Terrorism for India, Georgia Bombs

Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to “act methodically” against Iranian- backed terrorism, which he blamed for bomb attacks on diplomatic targets in India and Georgia.

Iran denied any connection to the bombing of an embassy vehicle in New Delhi that injured an Israeli diplomat’s wife yesterday and a bomb planted under an Israeli diplomatic car in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi that was discovered before it could be detonated.

“Iran is behind these attacks,” Netanyahu said in an e- mailed statement. “Israel will act methodically and take strong yet patient action against the international terrorism that originates in Iran.”

Who says it's a terrorist attack? Who says the bomb thrower is a suicide bomber? Why not just a "normal" dispute between Mafia clans over money, drugs, women, influence in the crime scene...??? Maybe one mobster ordering a hit on another one and the hitman was just too dumb to throw the second bomb and killed himself...

Speculations about ANY possible reason behind this killing is just MUCH too early IMHO! First the victims and the hitman should be identified and background checked.

Of course you are right... we need to wait for the BIB to tell us what really happened.

"OBVIOUSLY" seems to be the most over used word in this thread, but its kinda neat to see the Poirot Gene exists in us all wink.png

Seriously tho. with so little actual fact being released most of what is here in 10 pages, is pure speculation. ( (example.. the appartment has gone from an appartment to a bomb factory) .

obviously not nice people, obviously scum really, but equally obviously not trained terrorists

obviously wink.png

The three men were obviously putting together bombs for a terrorist attack when one went off in the house prematurely. They grabbed the bombs and were trying to take a taxi to their intended target but he wouldn't take him/them so they tried to cause as much damage and deaths before getting killed and/or arrested.

I hate to add fuel to this, but this is the theory the i am told the thai authorities are working on. the bombs are thought to be intended for different targets and the first explosion changed the plan.

This sounds like the script of "Four Lions", a movie well worth watching, more humorous than this particular thread, but saying that, half the res ponders could be extras in the movie.

I hope it was a pink taxi.

I just read on Twitter that they've evidently arrested the other two. It's Twitter so I have no idea if this is true.

Remember that it is well known that Iran/Hezbollah were planning global terror attacks during this time right now, the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah's military commander Imad Fayez Mughniyeh. Just because these characters failed in their mission doesn't mean they didn't have a mission. Also, Iran's regime is desperate these days and groaning under the sanctions, the threat to their Syrian regime ally, and the potential of revolt from their own people. It is also not true that there only targets are big targets.

Please don't bother to demonize all Muslims or people from any religion. There is great diversity among Muslims and many Muslim peoples/governments are enemies of each other. To wit, this years Iranian terror plot to murder the Saudi ambassador in Washington D.C.
