BOMB EXPLODED IN FRONT OF OLD TOKYU MALL ON RATCHADAPHISEK ROAD THIS MORNING

A bomb exploded at Tokyu department store on Ratchadaphisek (รัชดาภิเศก) road in Bangkok, but no one was injured.

Police from Huaykhwang (ห้วยขวาง) police station inspected the crime scene this morning finding remnants of the bomb scattered in the area in front of Tokyu department store in Ratchada. Questioning of witnesses revealed that a group of teenagers on a motorcycle had placed the bomb in front of the building late last night, before making off. The explosion then followed.

Police suspect that the assailants were those from the same group of teenagers who earlier attempted to steal electric wires from the building but were caught by the security guards, prompting them to take revenge.

Bombs are serious things. I hope they investigate thoroughly and don't make assumptions. I remember when the problems in the south began, they said they were just a bunch of criminals and drug dealers.
