I'm going to Suan Phlu 30 days early, which is ok I believe. I don't quite have the 400,000 necessary for the visa, but I have a work permit and job(obviouly).

Should I borrow some cash to put it over the 400,000 or take the chance?

If they say no for whatever reason, and I come back from holidays 1 day before my visa expires, which is a Saturday, can the Don Muang immigration give me an extension on the non-imm O?

I believe they will accept your job if you have paperwork proving it, to cover the shortfall. But in general I would try to make it as open and shut as possible by having the required amount in my account to avoid the complexity of the German thread now running here.

I do not believe Don Muang provides extension of stay service. At least not of the type you wish. :o

No need to show any money, if you have income of 40,000 Baht per month and a work permit. Just show your Income Tax certificate called a Pong Nor Dor. Take a letter from your company as well, stating your position, time employed and salary with your work permit.

If you get less than 40K per month, then show the funds in the bank as well.

Lop, FYI about a year ago I was in a similar situation.I was waiting for money to come from abroad(It was late being sent) and I did not have the required 400k.A bloke at CM Immigration told me that they would give an extention of a week or so.He said they were quite reasonable in this regard.....and there was no hint of him haveing his hand out. :D

I am sure that is right and readers should take note of that.

Poster I believe also has a travel problem and would not be able to appear a week later. As Sunbelt says it should not be any problem if he can show the required employment related paperwork and has plenty of money in the account to cover any shortfall.
