An interesting topic was brought up on another thread regarding the - seemingly - majority of TV posters (because they are the only ones that can be heard here) have their partners (wife, girlfriend, boyfriend) hail from Isaan (North-East).

This would seem odd because Isaan makes up only bewteen 25 to 40% of the Thai population. Ludditeman mentioned that this may be because people from Isaan move to income-wealthy areas and that is where foreigners tend to visit. A valid point.

So, where does your partner (wife, girlfriend, boyfriend) hail from originally . . . let's see how scientific research can shed light light on this conundrum. :)

The votes are now pouring in . . . all categories have one vote - except for Isaan! clap2.gif That certainly screws up any pre-conceived demographic structure we had . . .

It's a private vote so no one can see your choice!

(edited for spelling - curses!)

The catgegories/options are not too good, mine's Phetchabun, which is generally termed Central but is 4 hrs North of your nearest central listing and 4 hrs south of your North East option

I'd say Petchabun is right on the border of north and north east, would be either of those before central.

GF tells me that the second map you have is right, although often people just think of west as being part of the others, because it's only like 4 or 5 provinces or something, but technically yes there's also a western region
