I am looking to improve the in-laws very antiquated distillation process with their excess rice in the making of lamp oil....yeah right. Lamp oil, attitude adjuster, mind lubricant...call it whatever you want...you get the picture. I have done this before in a different country, but materials were a lot easier to obtain. Here...it is a bit different...TIT. I would be happy to pay for a used keg from a distributor, but have found that in the past, most do not want to depart with them. Anyone have any suggestions? pg

Illegal.....hmmmm. You are not talking about a sick bird here, are you? You mean illegal as in prostitution, government corruption, land encroachment, copyright piracy, tea money payments, etc? Here in Thailand? Mercy me! I certainly hope not.

I am just kidding....I do know what you mean and it would not be anywhere near me...all down on the in-laws farm. That home-made hootch is just as much a part of life here as is rice itself. Having said that....it could be made to taste a lot better and not have as many impurities in it that could...shall I say...impede good health? Probably not the best correlation, but....

I do appreciate your pointing out the illegalities of it. By the way....have you seen any used beer kegs? pg

Used beer keg as in those aluminium ones for draft beer? They're all over the place.

I haven't seen these "all of the place" so where? I'd like one to make a BBQ. Cut in 1/2 use half for BBQ.
